What we do
I. Mission Statement
Ram Motorsport Racing (RMR) is an educational motorsport organization dedicated to fostering hands-on STEM development for Fordham University students. Through real-world applications in automotive engineering, physics, data analysis, and business operations, RMR provides a professional-grade environment for experiential learning.
Our mission is supported by three core pillars:
1. Hands-On STEM Education
RMR delivers immersive technical development by placing students directly into motorsport engineering workflows. Students build applied competencies through telemetry systems, simulation platforms, vehicle dynamics modeling, safety procedures, and trackside operations.
2. Career Pathways Across Motorsport, Business, and Technical Fields
The program expands student opportunities beyond driving—encompassing media production, business and financial management, sponsorship acquisition, marketing, engineering, logistics, and data science. RMR functions as an interdisciplinary bridge between academic study and professional industry roles.
3. Alignment with Fordham University and Jesuit Values
In the spirit of Saint Ignatius and Fordham’s mission, RMR emphasizes integrity, academic excellence, personal development, community engagement, and leadership. As the organization grows into additional collegiate racing leagues, these values remain central to our identity.
II. Program Overview
Ram MotorSport Racing provides students with a comprehensive, interdisciplinary educational experience centered around applied engineering, business strategy, media production, and motorsport operations. The program integrates the structured RMR Engineering Bootcamp with broader organizational roles, ensuring that students across academic backgrounds gain meaningful, real-world experience. “This experiential work culminates in participation in the Collegiate Racing Series (CRS), beginning in the 2026 season.
III. Educational Framework
The RMR Engineering Bootcamp functions as the technical foundation of the program, supported by additional learning tracks in media, business, and operations.

B. Program Format: 12-Week Applied Engineering Bootcamp
RMR’s Engineering Bootcamp follows a progressive 8-week structure blending classroom instruction, CAD/FEA/CFD software training, safety protocols, and hands-on mechanical work. Students culminate their learning with an integrated mock race day where they demonstrate CRS-ready competencies across safety, mechanical execution, and race operations.
C. Additional Learning Tracks (Non-Engineering)
The program also integrates business operations, sponsorship outreach, media production, and team logistics to reflect the true cross-disciplinary nature of modern motorsport organizations
Media & Communications: photography, videography, editing, branding, public relations.
Business & Partnerships: sponsorship acquisition, fundraising, budgeting, donor relations.
Operations & Logistics: equipment management, scheduling, event coordination, documentation.
Driving & Driver Development: racecraft, sim analysis, physical preparation, CRS rules compliance.
